Raks Africa are two Big Bellied Girls Doing Big Things! Based right here in Oakland, the duo has belly danced their way across the country together since 2006. Now, they are coming to FFE to teach you how to move your curves in whole new ways!
Join us Saturday afternoon, October 22 at The Fat Lady in Jack London Square. We’ll be in the upstairs salon for our workshop.

You must pre-pay for this workshop online. We will not take walk-ins.
Your workshop fee includes
- 1.5 hours of dance instruction by Raks Africa
- a belly dancing music mix cd
- a belly dancing hip scarf (such as the one seen on the flyer)
- and $5 off admission to your next Full Figure Friday!
A portion of your registration fee supports the Girls Raks body image and confidence program for teens!
The Fat Lady is located at 201 Washington Street in Oakland.
The restaurant is one of Oakland’s finest lunch and dinner establishments, and their weekend brunch last until 2:30 so you have plenty of time afterward to check out their infamous Halloween decor! (Brunch is not included in workshop fee, but we will reserve a group table if several ladies are interested).
